Getting there
Boats leave from Port-Blanc, in Baden. The crossing takes about five minutes.
Izenah Croisières runs frequent departures through the day, and other operators add boats in season.
On the island
- Rent a bike. You can hire bikes on the island, and cycling is the main way to get around. Some stretches are easier on foot.
- Walk the coast path. The full loop takes about four hours. Pick one end if you'd rather take it easy.
- Find the Pen Hap dolmen. This Neolithic tomb in the south is roughly 5,000 to 6,000 years old.
- Swim at the Grande Plage. The main beach, lined with beach huts, with the Bois d'Amour woods behind it.

Tips
- Go early in July and August. Morning boats are calmer and the bike shops are quieter.
- Pack water and snacks if you plan to ride far from the village.
- Check the tide before you plan a swim. Beaches change a lot through the day.
